ASA 141
Yueming Tan
I started to feel the pressure to challenge be green because it is very difficult not to buy any unnecessary items such as clothes and shoes.
In the article "It’s hip to be Asian: The local and global networks of Asian fashion entrepreneurs in London", the author mentions that British fashion merchants have turned Indian traditional costumes into commercial ones. I think this is very sad because when traditional culture is linked to money, it always changes. On the other hand, I am saddened by the discrimination and prejudice of British civilization against Indian immigrants. Immigrants are always considered to be poor, low-cultural and low-income. At the same time, Princess Diana’s admiration for Indian culture has gradually changed the British people.
