Week 4 be green challenge

Week 4
ASA 141
Yueming Tan

In the week 4 be green challenge I did not buy extra items except food.

In the article "Speaking through Cloth: Teaching Hmong History and Culture through Textile Art" by Ava L. McCall, the author mentions the historical and cultural background of Hmong. At the same time, the author said how the influential culture has implications for Hmong Americans. I am interested in Hmong's learning because the author mentioned in the article that the Chinese drove Hmong out of China. This made me start to question because most Chinese school textbooks did not mention this history, and I think this is unfair to Hmong. On the other hand, Hmong conveys information to their next generation through textiles. This is worth learning because the traditional national textiles of today have begun to lose and become commercialized.
